Abstract

Waqf assets in Indonesia have the potential as economic empowerment for Muslim communities, but many waqf assets have not been optimally managed. While waqf documents are manual paper, it is difficult to know the history and designation of waqf by following the contracts. Such less information often makes a conflict between the community and families of the waqif. This research discusses the use of information technology especially GIS in mapping, recording and labeling the organization of waqf assets. This waqf application can either be a solution to the problems faced, optimize the use of waqf assets, or avoid conflicts beyond the use of waqf assets. So, the essence of waqf increases the economy of the recipient of waqf and the reward from Allah to continue flowing for the waqif can be achieved
