Abstract
Community Assistance In Vacant
Land Utilizing the Hamlet Village Demungan Pringgoboyo subdistrict in Lamongan district
Maduran. Thesis Department of Islamic Community Development Faculty of Da'wa and
Communication Studies UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya.
Although there are some problems experienced by the people of Dusun Demungan
which is the focus of this thesis is the problem of the utilization of vacant land within the
community will reduce dependence food needs of the other party. The purpose of this
research is to reduce the dependence of people will need food by utilizing the potentials that
exist in the environment, by means of a participatory process changes To reveal the existing
problems thoroughly and deeply, the approach taken by the participatory approach.
problem solving process performed by the Asset Based Community approach
Developmet (ABCD). With measures ranging from the research process, inculturation,
directly involved in community activities, facilitation of planning, implementation,
monitoring and evaluation, as well as to the realization of a change.
Problems that occur in people in the hamlet Demungan located on vacant land his
apathetic public will. While their food needs have always been met by external parties
resulting dependency. With the potential of vacant land were able to reduce their dependence
by growing their food needs independently.
Within two months of mentoring is done, companion trying to find a way out by
holding discussions with the community. participatory community planning activities to
address the problems they face independently. Indirectly there are impacts that have been felt
by people in the hamlet Demungan one of which budget savings to buy food needs such as
peppers, tomatoes, cabbage vegetables, plants and even traditional medicine. From the
success of the mentoring will create local food security that comes from the community itself.
