Abstract

This thesis aims to analyze the position of the actor was in her speech. The question is the subject and object's position, who is the narrator (subject), and who is told (object). Then the position of the listener, how the position of listener described in speech. The listener identifies which group and how the narrator presents a big agenda to convey to the reader. Therefore, in this study, the author will answer several research questions, such as (1) How is the position of Muniba Mazari based on Women Perspective in Sara Mills’ theory? (2) How is the listener’s position about Muniba Mazari based on Feminist Stylistics in Sara Mills’ theory?.This research uses qualitative methods, with Sara Mill's critical discourse analysis techniques and critical paradigms. This research aims to reveal the hidden meaning of the depiction of women in the perspective of feminism contained in Muniba Mazari's speech (2017). The data show that in Muniba Mazari's speech, she became the narrator and also the object of the story of her speech. She often uses the first-person sentence "I." In the sub-chapter object of the story, the author divides the object in Muniba Mazari's speech into two, the first being the Oppressed woman position. The second is the power of women's position. Whereas in the positioning the audience, 4 out of 7 respondents placed themselves in the position of a female figure.
