Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the procedure of developing Vlog Learning media speaking skills in class X Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Ponorogo students, to find out the application of Learning Vlog media for speaking skills in class X Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Ponorogo students, to find out the effectiveness of Learning Vlog media learning skills in students class X Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Ponorogo. The type of research used in this study is a mixed research that is quantitative and qualitative with case study methods. The research instruments used were: (1) Observation (2) Interviews (3) Documentation (4) Tests. The method used in this research is the research and development (R&D) method. The results of Laerning Vlog media development research are; the development procedure used in this research development was adapted from the Dick & Carry development model, which consisted of 8 stages namely 1) analyzing needs and goals, 2) identifying learning and student characteristics, 3) formulating performance goals, 4) developing instruments, 5) developing learning strategies, 6) developing learning media, 7) designing and evaluating, and 8) revisions.The level of validity of the media according to experts in Arabic material gets a score of 82% which is categorized as very valid and according to experts the media gets a score of 74% which is categorized as valid. The level of effectiveness of the media is based on the score of pre-test results 63.5% and 80.9% post-test that has increased. The results of this study indicate that the development of Arabic learning media is proven effective, this can be seen from the analysis conducted by researchers using the formula T-Test which shows that T is greater than T table with a positive value (8.3> 2.57) then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Likewise with the significance of the data probability is smaller than the alpha degree (error) that is 0.00 <0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that the use of instructional media developed is effective to improve speaking skills for class X MAN 1 Ponorogo categorized as good or effective.
