Abstract

Hydroponics is one way that farmers can do to continue to grow crops in the midst of the limited agricultural land in Indonesia. The obstacle that farmers usually feel is the high cost of AB-Mix nutrition on the market, whereas on the other hand, these nutrients are one of the main components in hydroponic farming. The solution that can be done to overcome this is to make an organic solution made from natural ingredients such as leaves, one of which is kirinyuh leaves mixed with rice washing water and then fermented. This study aims to determine the effect of giving kirinyuh leaf POC with various concentrations and to determine the most optimal concentration for the growth of red spinach plants grown by hydroponic wick system. This research was conducted using a randomized block design with 6 treatment groups and 9 replications. The control treatment used AB-Mix 15%, while the concentrations used for POC were 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, and 70%. The parameters tested were plant height, number of leaves, wet weight and dry weight of red spinach plants. The results of the observations were analyzed using statistical tests in the form of One Way Anova test and also the Kruskall-Wallis test. The results showed that AB-Mix had the highest average value for all parameters on red spinach plant growth. Meanwhile, the administration of kirinyuh leaf POC with a concentration of 40% had the best effect compared to other concentrations. The average value for each parameter includes plant height, which is 15.11 cm, the number of leaves is 8.77, the wet weight is 11.77 gr, and the dry weight is 0.44 gr.
