Abstract

A long with the progress of the times, teachers are encouraged to include cultural awareness in the teaching and learning process so that the educational process feels easier to understand, interesting and fun. To achieve this goal, teachers must be aware of and know the use or use of culture in learning effectively and choose the right aspects and methods for their classes. This study aims to find out which cultural aspects are included in learning and in what way is culture included in learning to increase cultural awareness. To achieve this goal, this research uses a survey design in an effort to find out the process in general. The majority of respondents described that they considered the most significant element related to cultural aspects that needed to be taught in the teaching process was communication. Other findings reveal that of the various types of material in learning the most frequently used are politics, social historical and religious issues in the student teaching and learning process. This finding explains as a whole that all pre-service teachers have efforts to increase cultural awareness in learning as indicated by the efforts they make from what aspects to through what increasing cultural awareness can be included in the teaching and learning process.
