Abstract
The formulation of the problem in this research is what are the moral messages of the Islamic characters in the film “ How To Make Million Before Grandma Dies” with the aim of knowing the moral messages in the film. This research uses an interpretative qualitative approach with the type of media text research. The research source was taken from the dialog text in several scenes in the film How To Make Million Before Grandma Dies by using data collection techniques using observation and documentation. Furthermore, it is analyzed using Ferdinand De Saussure's semiotic analysis model with the resulting data in the form of a signifier or message and also a signifier or meaning of the message. The result of this research is the moral message in the movie “How To Make Million Before Grandma Dies” there are moral messages that include responsibility, compassion and family relationships that are shown by the main character M. This study examines the film using Ferdinand De Saussure analysis, then this film study can be examined with other analysis models by the following researchers.
