Abstract
Humans are not free from faults and sins, whether major or mino sin. Human being who has already sinned against Allah, must clean through repentance. Repent of sins is something that must be done as stand in naqliyah texts that man must to repent. Repentance is also one way to gain happiness in the world and hereafter. This is reflected on the options given by God, namely: first, a person who was lucky to repent. Second, the people who are not lucky (loss) and does not repent, as in his words "Tubu ilallahi wa al-mu'minun jamian ayyuha la'allakum tujlihun" even God calls people who do not repent with people who cruel. From some of the things this writer feels that the importance of repentance for humans. Problems concerning this repentance is very interesting to study. Many mufassir who interpret the verses of repentance a variety of performances, and of course the style of their own language. Quraish Shihab is one of many mufassir that presents its interpretation with simple, language making it easier for readers to understand what is the meaning of these verses. Althought, the writer choose him to answer the problems about taubah. Not less than 87 verses that discuss about repentance. There are some very important issues and to include a serious sin, which is about the repentance of polytheism, hypocrisy, and apostasy. There are so many differences of opinion between the mufassir on repentance of those three things. Quraish Shihab with his simple interpretation explains these three things. According to him, in fact, not sin is spares if someone only hurries to repent, regrets his mistake, deeds and always be on the right path.
