Abstract
This thesis is the result of the observation to answer the questions of: How is reading aloud implemented to the students of senior high school, what kinds of problem faced when reading aloud implemented, and what about. the improvement made by the student after they learn through this method. The data of this research are taken from the students' performances in speech activity is arranged by classroom observation and analyzed by describing the data (descriptive qualitative). It was then analyzed by the writer in descriptive explanation. The research concludes that the steps that the teachers do to apply reading aloud technique are not exactly the same with the ways of news presenter do. The differences are the teacher use articles to apply the technique once in awhHe i n the teaching-learning process. The teacher uses drilling to teach. The kinds of drjlling that the teacher uses are repetition. The teacher asks the student to repeat and practjce what the teacher said. The teacher asks the students to repeat the words until they can pronounce correctly.
