Abstract
In this research, the writer analyses Saroo as the main character in A Long Way Home: A memoir novel by Saroo Brierley. This novel tells about Saroo that looks for his family after getting lost when he was five years old in railway station. Than he finds his family twenty five years later. The aims of this research is to discuss Saroo’s journey to find his family. This thesis uses descriptive qualitative method. The writer uses New Criticism theory to explain Saroo’s journey. The result of this study shows that Saroo is searching his family by using Google Earth, he struggled to find them although he faces a lot of obstacles. He also looks for his family by coming to India to find them.
