Abstract
Self-confidence is a very important capital for one's self-development, with self-confidence one will more easily develop the various potentials and abilities one has. In addition to self-confidence, higher-order thinking skills are also a requirement that must be possessed by every student in the current era. How students are able to analyze, evaluate, conclude and create something, so that students are no longer just remembering, understanding and applying. To increase students' self-confidence and high-order thinking skills, one of the efforts that can be made by the teacher is to implement the Think-Pair-Share cooperative learning model. The aims of this study were: (1) To analyze the process of implementing learning using the Think-Pair-Share type cooperative model in class IV Fiqh material at MI Maarif Ketegan Tanggulangin Sidoarjo (2) To analyze students' self-confidence and critical thinking skills before using the cooperative model Think-Pair-Share type in class IV Fiqh material at MI Maarif Ketegan Tanggulangin Sidoarjo (3) To analyze the increase in students' self-confidence and critical thinking skills through cooperative models of the Think-Pair-Share type in Fiqh material class IV at MI Maarif Ketegan Tanggulangin Sidoarjo. The research method used quantitative research with a quasi-experimental type with a pretest-posttest group design. The results of this study are: (1) The results of observing the implementation of learning using the Think-Pair-Share type cooperative model obtained an average value of 3.41 which means that the overall value of the implementation of learning is included in the good category. (2) There was an increase in the average pretest and posttest results obtained by the experimental class by 43.67%, and 30% in the control class. (3) The results of the pretest and posttest t test concluded that there was a significant effect on the experimental class that was treated with the Think-Pair-Share cooperative learning model in improving students' high-level thinking skills.
