Abstract
In the industrial era 4.0, the effectiveness and efficiency of the educational environment automatically increase. Discovering the effectiveness of one of the free online quiz platforms such as Kahoot is indispensable for an educational environment. The subject of this research was the effectiveness of Kahoot in developing students' subject verb agreement skills. This research discussed the effectiveness of Kahoot exercises to develop students’ ability to form subject verb agreement. The research question of this study was “how is the effectiveness of Kahoot exercise to develop student’s ability to form subject verb agreement at senior high school of Muhammadiyah 7 Surabaya”. This study used a pre experimental method and took one English class as an experimental group. The experimental group got the treatment of doing exercise on subject-verb agreement using Kahoot. The data was collected using a post-test in the form of Kahoot exercise. The finding showed that Kahoot exercise could develop student’s ability to form subject verb agreement. This was shown by the result of the one sample t test that the value of the sign.2 tailed is 0.00 means less than 0,05. This means that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Kahoot exercise could increase the average post-test score of a class and Kahoot exercise provided a very significant effectiveness contribution to developing student’s ability to form subject verb agreement.
