Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between fear of failure and procrastination with academic dishonesty in madrasah aliyah students. Academic dishonesty is fraudulent behavior using prohibited methods, tools and sources in the academic process. This research method uses a correlational quantitative method using a multiple linear regression test. The subjects of this research were 252 madrasah aliyah students who were taken based on random sampling techniques from the total population. Based on the results of this research, the t- statistics value was 6.158 > 1.969 and the Sig. 0.009 < 0.05, which means fear of failure is significantly related to academic dishonesty. The t- statistics value was 3,636 > 1,969 and the Sig. 0.003 < 0.05, which means that procrastination is significantly related to academic dishonesty. Also obtained was an F- statistics value of 22,757 with a Sig. value 0.006 < 0.05, which means fear of failure and procrastination are significantly related to academic dishonesty. The results of this research also obtained an R-Square value of 0.622, which means that fear of failure and procrastination contributed 62.2% to academic dishonesty.
