Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuam umtulk mengetahui pengaruh self confidence dan locus of control terhadap academic dishonesty pada siswa SMP. Subjek penelitian ini merupakan siswa SMP di Sumenep, yang melibatkan 334 siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode kuantitatif korelasional dengan menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linear berganda. Terdapat tiga instrument yang digunakan yaitu Self Confidence Scale (SCS), Internality, Powerful Other and Chance Scale (IPC), dan Academic Dishonesty Scale (ACS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self confidence dan locus of control masing-masing menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap terjadinya academic dishonesty. Demikian pula self confidence dan locus of control yang secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap academic dishonesty.
