Abstract
English Language Programs have a great influence on the students’ learning process. Many schools have some creativity in creating fun programs. Daarul Muttaqien Integrated Junior High School has a great program that is annually held namely Virtual Field Trip Program. This study is conducted in order to explore how the teacher designed the Virtual Field Trip program to promote students' speaking skill. The subject of this study were two teachers as the guide of the Virtual Field Trip program and the students as the participants of the Virtual Field Trip program. In this study, the researcher used qualitative methods collected through interviews with two teachers and distributing the questionnaire to the students. The findings showed that there are three main steps in designing the program. Those are the technical aspect which is the preparation before the Virtual Field Trip program is implemented, the content which is the material during the Virtual Field Trip program, and the evaluation of the program to know the progress of the students. While, in the result of the questionnaire explained the students’ perceptions about the Virtual Field Trip program that can be classified into four points, those are; students’ interest in participating the program, the program is a bridge in learning English, the program can promote the students speaking ability, and the interesting activities that have been well prepared by the teachers.
