Abstract
Domestic violence is a serious social problem which receives less attention from the society and is out of the reach of the laws. Such violence generally involves perpetrators and the victims within the member of the family, whereas the form of the violence might include physical violence, psychological violence, sexual abuse or family displacements. Domestic violence occurred in Rejotangan is caused by several factors including insufficient religious understanding and legal awareness, economy and cultural patriarchy. In order to prevent and to overcome the aforementioned violence in the region, the team dedicated to social empowerment organizes religious counseling on serenity family, domestic violence as well as assisting the victims.
