Abstract

Since the initial implementation, waqf is always give a solution to the problem of ummat. Wells that are being waqfed by Utsman, and waqf of money which was advocated by Imam Az-Zuhri was one instance where waqf productivity provide such great leverage to encourage the economic acceleration development of a nation. Similarly in Indonesia, the potential and prospects of waqf assets to be developed is very large, even the largest in the world according to one research. However, the constraints varieties faced by the nadzir also no less diverse. Starting from the difficulty of transforming the paradigm of productive waqf, to professional human resource managers of waqf are still in doubt. And with great potential waqf assets in Indonesia, waqf are expected to help accelerate economic development of Indonesia. Moreover considering the increasingly complex problems facing by the nation. Therefore, this study tries to analyze the synergy between empowerment and exploration assets in Indonesia waqf to help accelerate the economic development. By using qualitative explorative methods, the study tries to explore the strategic things. Such as polarization and waqf asset that have been developed and enable for productive in Indonesia, encourages the optimization of the role and function of the Waqf Board Indonesia, succeed in focusing the development of waqf asset investment schemes in the sectors that benefit and the optimal portfolio, build synergies between entities such as banks, nadzir, entreprenuer (muwakif and the prospective muwakif ), to government agencies effectively. And make the effort to transform society paradigm to support the empowerment of waqf asset productively as key factors of the success of this program.
