Multilateral diplomacy of the organization of Islamic cooperation Arab-Islamic ministerial committee in implementing the Riyadh summit mandate to end the war on Gaza in 2023

The study aims to illustrate how Multilateral diplomacy of the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee is exercising to implement the Riyadh Summit's mandate in pushing for an end to the Gaza war by 2023. This committee was formed based on the mandate of the Riyadh Summit which aimed to conduct high-level visits to the UN Security Council, namely China, Russia, the UK, France, and the US. This is to convey the agenda of a ceasefire, opening access to humanitarian aid, and the enforcement of international humanitarian law. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with documentation techniques from official statements of the visited countries, as well as media reports. To analyze the findings, this study uses the concept of the role of international organizations, multilateral diplomacy, and the concept of mandate. This is to read the response and external carrying capacity to the implementation of the mandate. The results of the study show that the Committee acts as a diplomatic actor that coordinates messages, strengthens the legitimacy of humanitarian norms, and builds political pressure through multilateral channels, thus affirming the contribution of non-Western international organizations in seeking an end to the Gaza war by 2023.
