Students' attitude towards video project assignment in english writing

The attitude of students towards video project assignments in English writing is important in their language acquisition and skill development. It is important due to students’ attitudes towards video project assignments in English writing directly influences their language acquisition and skill development. This study aims to investigate and understand students’ attitudes towards these assignments. To achieve the research objective, a qualitative approach was adopted, collecting data from junior high school students through surveys and in-depth interviews. The findings of the study indicate that students generally exhibit positive attitudes towards video project assignments in English writing. This positive attitude refers to the general favorability or acceptance that students show toward video project assignments in English writing. They find these assignments motivating, as they allow for a more interactive and dynamic learning experience compared to traditional writing tasks. The integration of visual and auditory elements helps students better express their ideas, thereby enhancing their overall writing proficiency. In addition, students perceive these projects as an opportunity to develop not only their English writing skills but also their technological and collaborative skills. However, some students reported challenges, including managing the time required to complete the projects and overcoming technical difficulties related to video production. Despite these challenges, the majority of students view video project assignments as a valuable and effective component of their English writing education.
