Abstract
English is one of the subjects which are tested in national examination. English national examination is a branch mark of English teaching-learning process during school. Multiple intelligences or MI is Gardners theory which divides intelligence into eight categories: spatial, logic or mathematic, interpersonal, music, kinesthetic, intrapersonal, and linguistic intelligences. He believes that each person has all eight but there is a supreme intelligence. MI theory is used as a development tool in teaching for common educators. There are many advantages of MI in education aspect. SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Surabaya has conducted MI. This study was conducted to find whether or not there is any significant correlation between multiple intelligence and English national examination.
