Abstract
The discourse about hadith Shahih Bukhari that is talking about a song is never ending. This hadith is unpredictable hadith that make many ulama have different definition in understanding of it, even in quality meaning and it's legality, because actually this hadith are in contradiction to holy quran or hadith each other. From the disputation that has been occured, the writer should reveal the two question, they are: How is the quality of hadith of song in the Bukhari book number 949. What is the meaning of song in the Bukhari book number 949. This research resulted in a conclusion that shows that the quality of hadith about song number index 949 in saheeh al Bukhari is considered authentic, both in terms of its sanad and matan, because all the narrators in the chain of transmission of this tradition continued in any level, and its matn study found no verse in the quran or other hadith to the contrary. So the hadith is a valid hadith could resume practicing and the catagory "maqbul ma'mul bih" that can be used as evidence. In the meaning of the hadith shows that song is allowed so long as unassociated with adultery, and not cause a scandal and immoral.
