Abstract

The subject of the study is about researching in Islamic economic values and its role in rationalizing consumer behavior in Libyan society,the objectives of the study were: Knowing the extent of consumer knowledge in the Libyan society about the Islamic economic values and using them in rationalizing its consumer behavior ,and knowing the obstacles to applying Islamic economic values in rationalizing consumer behavior in the Libyan economy, and knowing the role of Islamic economic values in rationalizing consumer behavior in the Libyan economy . The researcher used qualitative descriptive approach, the data was collected by means of interview, observation, documents, and the study was applied in Al-Khums Libya. The study has come to conclusions: The Libyan consumer has knowledge of Islamic economic values, but there is a lack in applying of what the consumer has, and his innate knowledge of it, and this knowledge is based on the values of the Islamic religion , and the authorities and ministries carry out the duty to educate and guide the consumer with these values, and it turns out that the obstacles to applying these values are the absence of a unified strategy in rationalizing the Libyan consumer, and the shortage in the number and quality of the rationalization function for the consumer, such as preachers and imams, and the need to train and qualify them, and likewise, there is a control of customs and traditions that encourage the transformation of the values of right education brought by Islamic law, and the absence of the rationalization function for long periods during the past decades, it has also been shown that Islamic economic values contributed to rationalizing consumption through its application and has benefits for the state's economy as a whole and the consumer, especially in terms of increasing awareness and forensic science and improvement in the consumption of consumption and the orientation towards the economy in living because the problem is really a lack of awareness, not scarcity.
