Abstract
This research is intended to answer three question: 1. How does the teacher implement strategies in creating teacher-students active interaction; 2. Is there any effect of the teachers strategies on active teacher and students interaction in English class; and 3. What are the problem faced by the teacher during the creation of active interaction. In order to answer those problems stated above, a descriptive quantitative was used in this study. The data of this study are: the teacher strategies in improving teacher-students active interaction, the effect of teachers strategies on active interaction, and also the problems faced by the teacher during the creation of active interaction. Then the data were analyzed into two parts, descriptive and uantitative. The result shows that the teacher implements questioning strategies such as using simple and clear question, leaving enough time the students to think about the answer, distributing question, giving previously information or translate into native language. From the questionnaire score data that have ben analyzed by using speanman rank, shows there is significance between teachers strategies and active interaction in the classroom.
