Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan realita di lapangan yang menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran materi tumbuhan hijaucenderung menggunakan ceramah, sehingga peserta didik cenderung pasif dan kurang antusias dikarenakan proses pembelajaran yang kurang menarik. Hasil wawancara dengan guru hanya 50% siswa yang mampu mencapai nilai kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM). The purpose of this research is 1) to know the application of jigsaw type cooperative model to improve the science learning result of green plant material of class V students in MI Ihyaul-ulum Dukun Gresik, 2) to know the improvement of science learning result of green plant material by using cooperative model of jigsaw type in grade V at MI Ihyaul-ulum Dukun Gresik. This research was conducted in MI Ihyaul-ulum Dukun Gresik with the number of 23 students, all students were women. The research method used is TOD model Kurt Lewin. This study was conducted with 2 learning cycles that included four stages; planning, implementation, observation, reflection. Data collection techniques are obtained from interviews, observation, documentation, and tests. The results showed that (1) the implementation of cooperative learning model of jigsaw type is good, it is proved by the increase in the observation result of student activity which increased by 25% in the first cycle to 55.43% in cycle II. The results of teacher observation also improved in good category, with improvement in cycle 1 of 18.75% to 72.32% in cycle II (2) improvement of student learning outcomes by using jigsaw type cooperative learning model can be quite good. evident from the percentage of students' learning mastery in the first cycle of 47.82% in cycle II to 86.9%.
