Abstract

The purpose of this research is to test the relation hipothesis between self efficacy and self adjustment of Javanese undergraduate students in Kupang East Nusa Tenggara. This research is conducted by applying the correlational quantitative study. The researcher also want to calculate the self efficacy level of students from Java who have never live or settle in East Nusa Tenggara. The subjects of this research are 37 undergraduate students in Muhammadiyah University of Kupang, which make this research is categorized as population research. The hypothesis test used in this study is the correlation test of product moment Pearson with the help of Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS). The result of this research shows that there is a link between self efficacy and self adjustment indicated by the significance value of 0.024 < 0.05 and the correlation value of 0370 as well as the variable self efficacy has a contribution of 13.7% to the self adjustment variable. From this result, it can be concluded that both variables have a positive correlation. This means the higher self efficacy of the Javanese students, the higher their self adjustment is. meanwhile, if the self efficacy is low then the self-adjustment will be low too.
