Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the Health Belief Model (HBM) on Covid-19 prevention behavior in the Surabaya community in early adulthood. This study uses the subjects of the people of Surabaya in the early adult age range (18- 40 years) as many as 350 people. The instrument used is from a study conducted by Kim & Kim (2020) which has been modified to measure Covid-19 prevention behavior. The design in this study uses quantitative methods and data analysis in this study uses CFA analysis and the Spearman Rank method hypothesis testing with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05) and a correlation coefficient value of 0.262. The results showed that the Health Belief Model (HBM) had a significant relationship with Covid-19 prevention behavior, meaning that the hypothesis of this study was accepted. However, the value of the relationship between the Health Belief Model (HBM) and Covid-19 prevention behavior is very weak, so it is necessary to review the pandemic situation when this research was carried out.
