Abstract

Yusuf Qaradawi in his Fatawa Muasirah explaining that the mother is the source of life for the fetus. However, the fact that in Indonesia has not been completed in handling the high maternal mortality rate (MMR) and children, HIV infectious diseases, and sanitation and clean water. The remark was made Chairman of the Millennium Development Goal's Indonesia, Nina Moeloek, after opening the show Indonesia's MDG Award 2012 held at Balai Kartini on January 31, 2012. Nina stated that during this time the cause of maternal mortality is still high due to malnutrition, worms originating from the sanitation was not clean, and ignorance to the problem of maternal nutrition and health. Yet according to UNICEF Healthy children need healthy mothers. Thus, the key word there is the knowledge of the mother. Religion and religious communities, pesantren for example, should not dwell on the religious-theological aspects of science, but to actively empower healthcare for santri and the social community. Initiative to fight maternal mortality reduction can be done starting from kyai, nyai and santri. It is against the backdrop of the increasing number of school in Ponorogo, from 73 to 89 until this year. Santriwati is a womb for human survival in the future, then they are a community that is aware of need information and education on safe motherhood and understand the issues maternal mortality. Destination Safe Motherhood and Making Pregnancy Safer, namely protecting reproductive rights and human rights by reducing the burden of morbidity, disability and mortality related to pregnancy and childbirth that never should have happened. According to the Nyai in boarding Wali Songo Ngabar and al-Mawaddah Ponorogo, education towards safe motherhood hardly done to the students. Who had been given just a debriefing nisaiyah (keputrian) concerning neatness of the house and the dining room table, baby care and debriefing menstruation alone. Nyai realize the importance of safe motherhood education for santri after discussion with both authors. Hope for the future of the students were given an insight into not only related to baby care, bathing, and dressing. But it needs to be stressed about taking care of themselves first started pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, post-birth, new baby care. And it's not just physical care for the baby's body, but caring for physically and spiritually. Nyai explains to students the next three aspects need to be built as a whole regarding the physical, mental and spiritual. Since these three are one entity. Once again students of the need to have insight into how healthy pregnant, gave birth to a healthy and safe, healthy childbirth. So when they live with the wider community, can convey their knowledge. Can explain to the students of pregnant women about healthy pregnancies as well as the conditioning followed spiritual stimulus in the baby in the womb. For example, mothers can pray and wirid, commit reading Quran, and pray tahajud everyday.
