Abstract
This thesis is the result of field research, entitled " Akulturasi Budaya dalam Pelaksanaan Tradisi Juk Bumeh di Desa Buminyar Tanjung Bumi Bangkalan". Problems examined in this paper are: 1. Is called Juk Bumeh tradition in the village of Bumianyar Tanjung Bumi Bangkalan? 2. When and How Procession of Tradition Juk Bumeh? 3. How Acculturation which occurred in the implementation of Tradition Juk Bumeh?
The research data obtained through interviews, observation, documentation and direct participation in the ceremonial procession Bumeh Juk. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the method of Phenomenology. As for the data presented were analyzed using deductive mindset. In this study, the authors use the Ethnographic approach, which is used to express an event or events be deeply influenced by the thoughts and beliefs that prevail in the scene based on the trust that is local and the confidence derived from the previous generation. While the theory used is the theory developed by B. Malinowski namely Functional theory where this theory assumes the existence of a dialectical relationship between religion with its function is applied to the ritual. Broadly speaking, the basic function of religion is directed to something supernatural.
In this study obtained the understanding that Juk Bumeh is a tradition carried out by Bumianyar society when they are going to build a building or buildings that they occupy in the future, such as home, mosque (broken), shop, shop and so forth. This tradition is usually held in the afternoon by inviting relatives and closest neighbor. Various offerings and event equipment is prepared and placed in the midst of the invitation in the circle. Acculturation is located at the moment in terms of reading the prayer was read, then within its own offerings also contains symbols that are all that is a blend of local culture, Hindu-Buddhist, and Islamic cultures where the cultures merge into one.
