Abstract

This study aims to explore the understanding of the meaning and behavior of lenders in investing in the Sharia fintech Peer to Peer lending instrument PT Dana Syariah Indonesia and construct it towards the implementation of the lender behavior model in making investment decisions that refer to the Sharia label and fundamental analysis, This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the soaring number of fintech lending and the number of lenders, along with the many illegal fintechs that have been frozen by the OJK, This research is a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach that uses primary data sources and secondary data sources with data collection techniques, namely interviews, observation, and documentation. The informants in this study are five Muslim lenders who have been funding for more than one year at PT Dana Syariah Indonesia and are domiciled in West Java Province. The meaning of investment for lenders is an effort to get a double return, namely return as a reward and physical return. 2. There are thirteen reasons from the five informants that become the orientation of lenders in their investment decisions both past, present and future orientations. 3. The analysis and implementation carried out by the leindeir imitates the internalization of values that have been practiced so far, namely belief in religion which is described by the Sharia label, then trust from information received from TV, websites, social media and environmental influences, which include the five pillars analysis. Different perceptions and attitudes towards the meaning of investment lead to different reasons and motives for behavior, especially in determining the duration of investment. However, the leindeirs' perceptions and attitudes were similar in terms of their continuity in continuing the investment, and their willingness to think about ending the investment. The theoretical implications of this research are in line with the decisionmaking process explained by Prof. Ubud Salim who explains that religion is one of the factors in the decision-making process, which is in line with Ajzein's Theiory of Planneid Beihavior theory which states that a person's actions are influenced by intentions based on social factors with a religious foundation. In this study, it was also found that the construction of lender behavior in the decision to invest in Sharia Peer to Peer Lending PT Dana Syariah Indonesia based on the Sharia label as a basis, which is supported by five pillars as an analysis, namely: Company Profile, Time Horizon, Return and Risk Profile, Asset Allocation and Periodic Review which makes the basis of trusted information that is formed into perceptions.
