Abstract

This research focuses on the role of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia in the Russia-Ukraine conflict through the 144th IPU (Interparliamentary Union) session in Nusa Dua Bali. through the 144th IPU session, the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia utilizes this occasion to show its role in global issues. This research uses the concept of K.J Holsti's role. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The data collection techniques used are interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique chosen was the interactive analysis model by Miles and Huberman. This study found that the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia has played various roles by inviting IPU delegates to proactively maintain peace and hold dialog with the parliamentary authorities of Russia and Ukraine. The role of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia as one of the delegates to the IPU session seeks to uphold the independence and sovereignty of every nation. The role of The role of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia has fulfilled to six role indicators, including liberation supporter, anti-imperialist agent, active independent, mediator integrator and bastion of the revolution supporter.
