Abstract
This study was conducted in MA Darul Ulum Waru Sidoarjo and the subjects were the teacher and first, second and third students in MA Darul Ulum Waru Sidoarjo. The researcher was done to find out the answer of one research questions, the reseach questions is what problems faced by teacher and student in teaching learning process of speaking. This is a descriptive study. The data in this study was taken from the result of interview and questionnaire from the teacher and student. The researcher describes the data from the result of interview with the teacher and the student .Then the results of questionnaire were analyzed by using presentation technique. The results of this study is the teacher in MA Darul Ulum Warn Sidoarjo faced the. problems there are: first students passiveness in speaking class, the second is students often used their language, and the third is students feel afraid of expressing their opinion, and the last is the number of the student in the class too big. Besides that student faced any problem in speaking learning like students have limited vocabulary, student feel difficult in using the right grammar, student feel difficult in choosing the appropriate tenses, student feel difficult In pronunciation, students feel difficult to expressing their opinion and the last there is no partner in speaking English.
